The largest acrylic painting on canvas measuring 12m x 100m known as "The Big Picture" by Peter Anderson.
Broken Hill silver jewellery can be purchased as well as local art work, along with a large variety of minerals.
There's something here for everyone including local homemade chocolates, sweets and gifts from the Chocolate Factory.
The Geo Centre
Has a vast collection mineral collection to view including the famous SILVER TREE, which was created by a German silversmith by the name of Henry Steiner in 1879-79. The Silver Tree is an extraordinary display of craftsmanship, with animals and outback figures. For more information Click here
The Royal Flying Doctor Base
Visitors can explore this newly renovated base that holds over 80 years of remarkable outback medical history. Broken Hill's RFDS- South Eastern Section, is the only RFDS base in Australia where visitors can see a working base, including the communications room and the medically outfitted King Air planes. Silverton
It was the largest township to exist in the Barrier Ranges before the discovery of Broken Hill in 1883.
The township of less than sixty people now is situated 25km northwest of Broken Hill on a sealed road.
The outback town is a picturesque cluster of old buildings, with a restored gaol, art galleries and the famous Silverton Hotel. Once inside visitors can view photographs of films and commercials made in the outback, "Priscilla Queen of the Desert", "Mad Max II", "Dirty Deeds" and "XXXX beer" ads. Visit Silverton
Sculpture Symposium
Situated on a hilltop 12km north of Broken Hill are twelve breathtaking sandstone masterpieces that all tell a story. Official opened on 23 May 1993 and dedicated to the Late Professor Fred Hollows. This is the place to witness our stunning outback sunsets. Take the Sculpture Symposium Virtual Tour
Day Dream Mine (1882-1983)
Take a guided tour through the Historic Day Dream Mine. Located approx 23kms west of Broken Hill, just off the Silverton road.

Sturt Park
The children's play area is securely fenced with BBQ, under-cover seating and new play equipment for children of all ages. Teenagers can enjoy the bike and skate park close by, while the more mature aged people can enjoy the Titanic Memorial and delightful Rose Garden. View park here...
